System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2007 R2)
The Configuration Manager, which many possibly still know as SMS, is the centerpiece in the Software Distribution and Client Inventory domain.
Any Windows software packs and software updates can be distributed centrally from here. The integration of AppV (formerly SoftGrid) also allows virtual applications to be provided using the same mechanisms.

System Center Operations Manager (SCOM 2007 R2)
The key advantage of Operations Manager as a central monitoring tool lies in the know-how that Microsoft and other manufacturers have integrated into the Management Packs. SCOM can monitor the Blade System and the HP Server directly with the appropriate HP Management Packs.

System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM 2008 R2)
If it is planned to use Hyper-V on a wider scale (i.e. more than three Hosts), the question of central management is quickly raised. Here SCVMM offers a central view of the virtual environment and can also integrate a VMware environment (requires the vCenter Server).
