System Center Operation Manager with Nagios!

System Center Operations Manager is highly suitable for monitoring Microsoft environments. Other monitoring systems covering a part of the system landscape already exist in many environments. Specifically there are reservations about using the System Center Operations Manager for implementing Linux machine monitoring with Nagios. In order to achieve a smooth migration, it is suggested to forward the alarms from the System Center Operations Manager to Nagios.

This makes it possible to continue using Nagios as a central display page and still use the intelligence of the System Center Operations Manager.

In order to achieve this, we utilize an internally developed connector which integrates with the System Center Operations Manager and can forward the events to Nagios via the network.
