What does Hosting of an IUCLID application include?
This offer includes services such as the installation and operation of an individual Tomcat application server for IUCLID 5 in a dedicated virtual machine.
Here the virtual environment is based on a state-of-the-art Blade Infrastructure. The virtual machine has a virtual processor and 1 GB of dedicated main memory. The application data are stored in a dedicated schema on a physical server in an Oracle database.
Redundant SAN storage is used for keeping all data. The gross capacity per IUCLID instance is 50 GB, of which 30 GB can be used for data and 20 GB for Logfiles. Revision-safe data backup is performed on a regular basis.
Connection to the internet is via two redundant lines (primary line: 100 Mbit/sec). The application servers are protected against the internet by a redundant firewall cluster.
In addition to this, regular maintenance is performed on the operating system and the application (database and IUCLID application). A monitoring system monitors the system continuously to ensure fast detection and elimination of system impairments.
The guaranteed system availability is 99%, with data center availability 365x24 (365 days a year, 24 hours a day). Should you have any problems or queries, our Helpdesk is available from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on nationwide working days.
How is IUCLID provided / what do I as the client have to do for this?
The first step in obtaining an IUCLID system involves requesting a proposal from TechniData IT-Service GmbH. Here it is sufficient to e-mail all your necessary contact details and your request for a Hosting proposal to iuclid@its-technidata.de.
You will receive a written proposal within just a few days. Following the receipt of your order, a member of staff from the data center will contact you and arrange a delivery date. Technical issues, e.g. if a VPN is required, will be clarified at the same time. The client must download the IUCLID application from the official IUCLID homepage and accept the license agreement here.
An LEOX file is produced during the registration process. This file and the IUCLID software must be made available to TechniData IT Service GmbH. As soon as this information has been received by TechniData IT Service GmbH, the IUCLID system will be provided within two working days.
What support does TechniData IT-Service GmbH offer?
TechniData IT-Service GmbH offers support for the hosted IUCLID system. This support includes the on-going operation of the IUCLID system, maintenance work on the system, the adding of PlugIns and patches, data storage, data backup, and data recovery.
What availability does TechniData IT-Service GmbH guarantee me?
TechniData IT-Service GmbH guarantees system availability of 99%, with data center availability 365 x 24 (365 days a year, 24 hours a day).
What is the minimum contract length for IUCLID Hosting?
The minimum contract length is 12 months. The contract can be cancelled by giving notice 2 months before the end of the contract.
