Financial donation for the Zoo School in Landau

For our 2009 Christmas celebrations, we decided to sponsor the Zoo School in Landau rather than spending the money on Christmas presents.

The Zoo School is based on the model of sustainable development and sees itself as a facility for teaching people about sustainability. With a wide-ranging programme of study, the school attempts to cover the topics of "green environmental education" and development aid policy. Based on the Agenda 21 blueprint – "Think Globally - Act Locally" – the Zoo School today focuses on topics that introduce children to global contexts and networked structures.
